About Us

VoxPop, LLC is a minority-women-owned mobile app startup registered in the state of Colorado. Its co-founder, Kathe Perez, a certified and licensed speech-language pathologist, has been providing exceptional speech and voice-training programs for people with a variety of communication needs (transgender voice, accent modification, etc.) through her private practice company, Exceptional Voice, Inc. Now, with several decades of experience, Kathe’s focus has shifted to providing her tried-and-true products as applications for mobile devices (e.g. iPhone and iPad).

Our company name, which is derived from the Latin phrase, vox populi (“voice of the people”), best describes the heart and soul of VoxPop. Its commitment is to:

  • Provide innovative, lasting solutions for the voice and communication problems of transgender people–our initial target market.
  • Help people overcome voice and communication difficulties by providing a new and unique learning experience that includes real-time intuitive visual feedback.
  • Distribute speech- and voice-training content via mobile applications across multiple platforms.

VoxPop has successfully demonstrated its proof of concept with apps (called lessons) for the world-wide population of transgender people. VoxPop is exploring these direct consumer markets:

  • English-as-a-Second-Language speakers
  • Professional speakers (including auctioneers, teachers, and public speakers).
  • Hard-of-hearing adults

Eva

Eva (Exceptional Voice App) is a suite of voice training mobile application products. She was born out of the ever-growing need we all have to make efficient use of our time and energy. It’s no surprise how difficult it is to change a voice. Eva will guide you step-by-step over a series of lessons to address your specific communication goals.

Giving Everyone a Voice!

The Exceptional Voice products are now being bundled together into a series of mobile apps, which you can use conveniently, while at home or on the go, in your hotel room or office or airport or wherever you may be in the world.

Eva is a great travel companion.

How Eva Works
We have paired video instruction with real-time feedback (visual and “on-target” scores) for speech and voice production elements, such as pitch and loudness (to name just two). The learning experience includes well-defined objectives for individual lessons, which will be bundled together into courses once all content has been created.

An integral part of each lesson is its reward system. Users are provided with scores to capture important success data, such as “time spent in the target zone.” Users are offered the option of sharing their scores on Facebook and Twitter.

When anyone, anywhere, desires to change or enhance their voice or communication skills Eva will be there for them.

Eva’s sole mission is to enrich the human spirit one voice at a time.
